The city is a monster
Blood and rain on the pavement. Cracks in the concrete large enough to swallow you whole. The City keeps chugging along, but its heart is rotten, and the rot is spreading. Like cancer. Like bad news.
It’s everywhere these days. Megacorporation boardrooms filled with Things wearing people as masks. Luna City is the rotten core of the human empire. Mars and Mercury aren’t much better. It’s everywhere. Maybe it’s just a part of us. Maybe it’s who we are.
After the Fall, Luna City is still the largest human settlement in the solar system. No city in history can compare. Sometimes it feels infinite, like a bad dream of buildings upon buildings.
Us freelancers? We’re just trying to survive.
Luna City Blues is a reimagining of Mutant Chronicles, the classic tabletop RPG.
- The player characters are freelance investigators and problem solvers eking out a life in a monstrous city still rebuilding after the war against the Thinking Machines.
- The rules are minimalistic, quick and designed to facilitate investigation. Combat is fast, deadly and best avoided.
- The character creation system is a fresh take on the classic lifepath system – every character’s journey to the table is unique.
- Most of the world’s weirdness is still unknown. People don’t know about the Legion. As the game is focused on investigative play, the settings has been redesigned to provide the maximum amount of secrets to be uncovered. What fun is investigating if all the big stuff is already general knowledge?
- To fans of either of the old editions, the world will feel familiar yet new. The megacorporations are recognizable, but with a few new twists to keep things interesting. Not to mention the Legion…
